New Delhi. The capital, Delhi, was once again rocked by an explosion. An explosion in a parked car near the Red Fort Metro Station on Saturday evening left Delhi shaken. Eight people were killed in the blast.

Initial investigations have not revealed any terrorist link, but the incident brings back memories of those horrific days when a series of bomb blasts in Delhi had shaken normal life.

When did the bomb blasts happen in Delhi?

Delhi has been a major target of terrorist activity over the past three decades. Markets, religious sites, cinema halls, and public transport have all been attacked at one time or another.

Security arrangements were strengthened after the blasts of 2005 and 2008, but this time the blast in the Red Fort area raises fresh questions on the security preparations of the capital.
