A NIL official stated that following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directive, the date for commercial operation has been proposed. BAKAS has been contacted to verify security arrangements and issue a NOC. All necessary inspections and instructions have been completed. Mock trials of the security arrangements have also been conducted.
Additionally, in-principle approval has been obtained from the National Civil Aviation Authority (NCAI) for an aerodrome license. Recently, calibration tests have been conducted to meet the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Officials say that preparations for the airport’s inauguration are complete. Work on the airport will be completed by November 15th, as agreed during the Chief Minister’s inspection. Preparations for the inauguration have also begun. The public meeting venue is being renovated, and the roads leading to the airport are also being repaired.
For the first flight,
Nile is now brainstorming with airline companies about where to start flights first. Currently, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Bangalore have been given priority. Apart from this, flights can also start from Noida Airport for Mumbai, Hyderabad, Gorakhpur, and Ayodhya. Service provider companies have also been instructed to start commercial operations.
