Road accident statistics revealed!!!

Road accidents have decreased in Delhi-Goa, know the figures of other states including UP-Bihar.

According to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, road accidents in India increased in 2024, with 1.77 lakh people losing their lives and over 4.8 lakh accidents recorded. Madhya Pradesh had the highest number of accidents, while states like Delhi and Goa saw a slight decrease.

Thousands of road accidents are reported across the country every day. The year 2024 is expected to see a significant increase in road accidents across the country. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated in Parliament that 1.77 lakh people will lose their lives in road accidents across the country in 2024. Previously, the death toll in 2023 was 1.73 lakh. However, there is also good news for several states. States like Goa and Delhi have seen a decrease in road accidents.

Responding to Narayan Das Gupta’s question, the Road Transport Minister stated that 4,87,705 road accidents were recorded in 2024. Previously, in 2023, the number of accidents was 4,80,583. While the number of accidents has increased nationwide, Delhi has seen a decline. In 2023, there were 5,834 accidents recorded, while in 2024, there has been a slight decrease, with 5,657 recorded.

Goa also saw a slight decrease. In 2024, 2,682 accidents were recorded, compared to 2,846 in 2023. Road accidents have increased in Assam, Bihar, and Kerala.

Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of road accidentsRoad accidents have risen sharply in various states across the country. However, the increasing number of road accidents in Madhya Pradesh has alarmed everyone. In 2024, 56,669 road accidents were recorded in Madhya Pradesh alone. Furthermore, 14,791 people died in these accidents. These figures indicate a crisis in Madhya Pradesh.
