New Delhi. The threat of terrorist attacks continues to loom over the National Capital Region (NCR). Investigating agencies have received information about several individuals associated with Dr. Umar Nabi Butt, a terrorist of the Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), who was killed in the blast outside the Red Fort. Umar had met with these individuals before the incident.
All of them are absconding from their hideouts. For the past four days, investigative agencies have been searching for them, conducting raids at possible hideouts ranging from Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The investigating agency suspects that ammonium nitrate was transported to several locations in the NCR using Jaish terrorist Umar’s red Eco sports car.
277 kg of explosives are still missing.
The investigating agency has learned that the Faridabad-Saharanpur module of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had stockpiled approximately 3,200 kg of explosives for the blast. Of this, 2,923 kg were recovered from Faridabad. Of the remaining explosives, only a few kg were used in the blast. The search is underway to determine where the module has hidden the remaining explosives.
The investigating agency has learned that Dr. Umar visited a man in the North-West District before carrying out the blast outside the Red Fort last Monday. This man’s whereabouts are unknown and he remains elusive.
Dr. Umar had visited several places before the blast.
It is suspected that Omar may have placed explosives with the man. Before the blast, Omar also visited the Faiz-e-Ilahi Dargah at Turkman Gate. His image was captured on CCTV cameras installed on the main road. Police subsequently went to the shrine and conducted inquiries.
Following information that explosives were being transported to the NCR via Eco Sports, Faridabad police conducted a day-long search operation in the Muslim-majority Khandawali village. Faheem, who had parked the Eco Sports car, was also interrogated for 10 hours. He admitted parking the car in his brother-in-law, Faheemuddin’s, vacant plot. Faheem was Umar’s driver.
The search is on for those selling ammonium nitrate
The NIA and NSG teams conducted a day-long investigation in Khandawali. They questioned villagers about Faheem and Faheemuddin. Furthermore, the Special Cell raided Nuh’s fertilizer shops after receiving information about the purchase of ammonium nitrate. Following Muzammil’s information, the shopkeepers in Nuh from whom he and his associates had purchased the ammonium nitrate were questioned.
The cell has videographed the crowded market of Mewat and sent it to the Jammu and Kashmir Police so that by showing Muzammil, the fertilizer shopkeepers who had sold ammonium nitrate to the terrorists can be identified.
Flight ticket found in garbage
The investigating agency found a flight ticket dated October 31st in the garbage outside the home of terrorist Dr. Adil Ahmed. The ticket is from Srinagar to Delhi. This clearly indicates that Adil was in Delhi 10 days before the blast. However, Jammu and Kashmir had already apprehended him.
Search continues for Jaish’s female commander
Investigating agencies are searching for Jaish-e-Mohammed’s female commander, Afira Bibi. She was in contact with Azhar Mahmood’s sister, Sadia. A massive search operation is underway to apprehend her. Afira is from Kashmir. Her role in the Red Fort blast is being investigated.
Dr. Omar remained underground for 11 days
Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested Muzammil on October 30. Muzammil was Umar’s associate. After his arrest, Umar went underground and stopped using his mobile phone.
According to police sources, Omar owned three cars, including an i-20, an EcoSport, and a Brezza. These were parked on the university campus. The i-20 was used in the bombing. The other two cars have been recovered by the police.

A fertilizer dealer was also detained in Nuh. According to sources, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Dar, assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at GS Medical College in Pilkhuwa, Hapur, was arrested by police on campus around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
His name came to light during the interrogation of terrorist Muzammil. Meanwhile, Faheem, who had transported terrorist Umar’s Eco Sports car to Khandawali, has been arrested. Faheem was terrorist Umar’s driver. Faheem had parked the Eco Sports car on his brother-in-law’s plot.
