40 mistakes in the UPSC exam notification ??

In the notification, ‘Examination’ is written as ‘Examinaiton’ and ‘candidates’ as ‘cadidates’ on page 2. On page 7, ‘Benchmark’ is written as ‘Bechmark’, ‘Functional’ as ‘Functinal’ and on page 8, ‘Abbreviations’ is written as ‘Abbriviations’.
Social media users are trolling the commission by sharing screenshots. Candidates are questioning whether marks will be deducted if they make such a mistake. Experts say the error was a proofreading error. They advise caution when filling out the form.

Question on the professionalism of the commission
The UPSC is a constitutional body of the Government of India. It is responsible for selecting qualified and honest officers for the country. Officers recruited through the Civil Services Examination serve in various positions, including District Collector, Superintendent of Police, and Diplomat.
Critics say such basic spelling and grammar mistakes in the official notification raise questions about the attention to detail and professionalism in the commission’s work.

Despite the glitches, the application process for CSE 2026 has begun and will continue until February 24, 2026, through the official website, upsconline.nic.in
